Killing of Mahodara - Chapter 21

In the previous chapter, we saw the Killing of Virupaksha, Now we'll see the Killing of Mahodara.

Due to massif killing the size of both armies decreased like the flow of water in a river in dry summer. Ravana became furious looking at the loss on his side. He ordered Mahodara and said, “O great warrior go and show your valor and destroy the Vanaras. This is the time to prove your gratitude to me”. Mahodara obeyed the command of Ravana and went back and attacked the Vanaras using golden arrows. He killed several of them and made several

invalids. The Vanara army was shattered and they ran in all directions. Sugreeva saw this and came to face Mahodara. He threw a huge rock at Mahodara but he broke it into pieces using his arrows. Sugreeva then attacked with a huge tree but it was also in vain. Then he attacked with a big stick and was resisted by the enemy who used his maze. They fought for a long time and even used their fists. Then they fought with swords and Sugreeva cut off the head of Mahodara who fell down dead. Sugreeva roared pleased with his victory and the Vanara army joined him in celebrating the victory.

In the next chapter, We'll see the Killing of Mahaparshwa.
