Hanuman sees the splendor of Ravana and his court - Chapter 27

In the previous chapter, we saw Indrajit captures Hanuman. , Now we'll see Hanuman sees the splendor of Ravana and his court.

Valmiki describes at length the fabulous wealth of Ravana and his personality. Hanuman stared at Ravana in anger because he had taken away Sita. He saw how lavishly he was decorated with diamonds and gold jewels, and dressed in silk. He was covered with sandal paste. He had shining big and sharp teeth. He looked like a mountain. He was seated on a huge throne elaborately decorated with diamonds and gold. There were so many ladies attending to him. His ministers were around him. Hanuman stared at Ravana for a long time not minding the rakshasas who were hurting him. He thought to himself that had Ravana followed the path of Dharma even Indra could not have equaled him in his glory and he would have been like God.

In the next chapter, We'll see Court enquiry of Hanuman and Hanuman’s advice.
