Wrong Notions -5-Dharma/Karma/Parihara

Another area of mass confusion is on what is “dharma”-duty,”karma”- the after effects and “parihara”-the remedial measures.

Here also we get confused between the cosmic laws and manmade laws.

First on ‘Dharma’ - Duty. Under the cosmic law every man has three duties -one to the nature; one to its progenitors and progenies; and the one to the cosmic powers.

Firstly you should pay back and contribute to the welfare of other beings in nature-by watering plants, feeding insects, feeding birds, feeding animals, planting and maintaining flower bearing plants, planting and maintaining fruit bearing trees, planting and maintaining herbal plants, supporting and maintaining water bodies etc.,.

This way you help the non human species to survive and grow because when you grow a flower bearing plant it supports the life of hundreds of bees and similar insects; when you support a tree it supports hundreds of birds; when you support water bodies it supports thousands of aquatic species. In fact all these steps support the entire eco system making millions of species to live their happy life.

In the same way you are expected to support the human beings - particularly those who are poor, downtrodden, incapacitated, destitute, elderly, sick-in essence all those who need support to live, no matter whether they are known or related to you; or not. It is your definite duty to help the needy without fail.

Secondly you should pay back to your progenitors because they are your previous link in the chain of evolution and without them you could not have come.

As Tiruvalluvar says ‘it is the duty of every son to make the world to exclaim and proclaim how fortunate are his parents ‘ which means he should take care of his parents so much that others envy him for that quality.

It is the duty of every son to take care of their parents in such a way that they live their elderly life in comfort. The great Lord Krishna submitted himself to the order and love of Pundalikan only because he was dutifully taking care of his aged parents. Even today the temple of Pundarikapuram is the standing witness to the greatness of this divine duty.

Lord Rama is worshipped by one and all only because of his divine quality of ‘pitru vakya pari palanam’- fully honouriong his father’s order, no matter how unfair and how much painful it was.

So also, you have to take care of your children and to develop them as sensible, serious and capable citizens of high moral order and persons who will be respected by the society.

Again as Tiruvalluvar says ‘ it is the responsibility of the father to ensure that he has put his son in the company of noble people and has made him a noble man’ so that the world wonders how much punya this son should have earned to have had this kind of a father.

It s also his responsibility to make them to be economically independent so that they can lead a happy and peaceful life on earth. You can never shirk this responsibility and cosmic law does not permit it.

As Tiruvalluvar says ‘ there is no place in heaven for those who have not done any meritorious deeds and similarly there is no place on earth for one who has no money’. And so you have to ensure that your children are guided well to settle down in their life.

So we can see here a duty has been cast on the father to his children and a duty has been cast on the children towards their parents – a two way duty in the tree of linealogy.

This duty to progenitors and progenies may look silly and superstitious but it has very deep significance. If this system is not there, then there is a great threat to the continuance of the lineage and the very process of evolution itself.

Look at the animals that do not have this obligation either to their progenies or their progenitors. Neither the younger ones are consciously developed by their parents nor the older ones are consciously protected by their off springs and hence as a consequence how much they suffer at the hands of human beings.

The third duty is to the cosmic powers which are sustaining you and the universe. If they fail, the universe fails and the evolution stops. God’s dream collapses.

Make no mistake, the divine powers are God’s creation of energy knots to energize us and they also have a mind/intellect/soul complex and they also need nourishment.

This nourishment is more in the form of mental and intellectual vibrations. That nourishment has to be given by human beings.

These energy nodes are set up by God to generate positive vibrations which can be invoked by us for our benefit. But such nodes also need constant recharge.

This recharge is required from two angles- one to nourish them and the second to make them feel they are actually wanted. The second angle is very important because if we don’t make them feel wanted they may happily go back to their realm, as it happens to an inactive bank account which gets automatically closed.

The human being contains the God’s spark and therefore are capable of generating such positive vibrations. That is why the cosmic law has imposed this duty on human beings because he only can understand and comprehend his power on the one side and his duty on the other side. That is why the saying –‘God made man- man made God’

This duty, in other words, means that the humans should constantly ascend in spiritual hierarchy so that the evolution into super human being progresses slowly but steadily. If the human beings fail in this, sooner or later human beings may have to face the wrath God head and it’s after effects

You must note that the cosmic laws have imposed these duties only on human beings because they only have the intellect. In respect of other species God has imposed only the first duty i.e., duty to the nature and not the other two because he knows that they don’t have the intellect to comprehend.

In management terms God has delegated some of his duties to us because he wants to groom us to evolve into super humans. That is a great respect he has shown to the human beings and we have to be conscious of that and live upto it.

We should also note that how all the other beings fulfill their cosmic duties without fail. Take the case of a tree ; it gives shade to every being because that is its duty. It gives shade to even to the one who cuts its branches. The plants bear the flower and fruit without questioning whether it is benefitting them in any way because it realizes that it is their duty though it does not enjoy a bit of its labor. They all rejoice on just one fact that they are diligently and dutifully discharging the cosmic duties.

It is only the man who fails because his so called mind has come to the conclusion that these are all superstitions. How sad.

One may wonder how all these things will really help us - are they not mere superstitions. To answer this we need to understand that the cosmos has no specific language but all languages are its adaptations.

The only language it understands and monitors is the vibrations- positive or negative. When you do something that makes other beings to generate positive vibration towards your soul, you are gaining strength in the cosmic field and if you do things which generate negative vibrations towards you it weakens the strength of your soul.

The strength of your soul determines your state and stage of bliss. In the light of this simple scientific fact if you analyze the rules of Cosmic Dharma you will understand the meaning significance and importance.

For example when you are discharging your divine duties all the beneficiaries viz., the insects, plants, aquatic species, animals, human beings etc, will naturally and obviously generate positive vibrations towards your soul and it gets strengthened. This happens so automatically and subconsciously and that is why there is a Tamil proverb ‘even if somebody don’t bless by words their feelings will’ F It addition it should also be noted that when you do some action which will make others to generate a positive vibe, you will also be generating extremely high levels of positive vibes yourself which strengthens your soul immensely.

By the same token if you are doing something which will make other beings to generate negative vibes towards you, you will also be generating extreme levels of negative vibes which will weaken your soul’s strength terribly.

For example if you fail in your duty the affected persons – say your parents etc., will be generating negative vibrations which will surely weaken your soul.

So in cosmic law if you fail to discharge any of these responsibilities you run the risk of not adhering to your ordained duty and as a result for the generation of the negative vibes against you which will affect your state of bliss.

The man made laws have cast many duties in relation to your profession, your society, your nation etc., No doubt you have to fulfill them as otherwise human laws will catch you.

But just because you have discharged duties as per manmade laws you can’t fail to comply with your duties under the cosmic laws. This aspect has to be clearly understood.

Moreover the man made laws are heavily loaded in their favor even at the cost of other being’s birth rights and therefore just complying with that will not be sufficient at all.

Most importantly lacking spiritual ascend and being only after sensual pleasures is a sure one way path to irredeemable sin because the man has been given so much strengths and powers only for discharging this duty.

Then we come to ‘Karma’- Here the cosmic reprisal is based on cosmic laws and not on human laws. We must note that many things permitted under human laws are prohibited under cosmic laws.

Classical example will be humans eating the flesh of other species. It must be noted that in the food chain, human food needs are addressed by nature with so many other things and the flesh of other species is not meant for him - they are meant for really the various other species only.

So eating other animals flesh is a sin for sure. As Sage Tiruvalluvar says ‘how on earth who eats the flesh of other beings, for developing his own flesh, ever be blessed and be blissful’ F Similarly there are many areas where human laws are ignorant of the cosmic laws. We can also see how each religion has different set of ‘papas’ and ‘Punyas’ many of them contradictory amongst themselves. What is permitted by one religion is shunned by the other.

This shows that the human laws of papa/punya can never be right because for God there is no religion. In his kingdom what is right for goose has to be right for the gander. So the cosmic laws are pan religion and pan region. Therefore you have to be conscious to surely adhere to the cosmic laws and remain ever blissful.

Then we come to “parihara’-atonement for redemption. Under cosmic law the whole atonement process has to be done through the mind and intellect because the sin has been committed by the mind only in the first place.

Therefore the sinner’s mind and intellect has to atone. There is no BPO or outsourcing of this atonement and redemption process. But the religions have converted this into a proxy system and bartering procedure which is simply self deception.
