Hanuman killing the Rakshasas - Chapter 22

In the previous chapter, we saw The destruction of Ashoka Vana by Hanuman. , Now we'll see Hanuman killing the Rakshasas.


With what was happening the residents of Lanka were so scared and there was panic. Ravana was furious to learn what was happening and he ordered his mighty rakshasas to go and kill the vanara. They left fully armed and attacked Hanuman fiercely. But Hanuman who was like a huge mountain raised a war cry which made all tremble. Hanuman announced loudly that he was an Emissary of Rama and Lakshmana who was invincible. He told them that even a thousand Ravanas could not face him in the battle. Then he took a heavy stick and beat the rakshasas to death and went back to where he was sitting.

Hanuman saw there a beautiful palace and went and destroyed it completely. The guards came to attack him but he plucked a huge pillar and spun it so fast that sparks of fire came out and set the palace on fire. He killed the guards with this pillar and proclaimed that he was Rama’s servant and there were so many like him in the army of king Sugreeva. He said he would not go back without delivering Sita and destroying the city of Lanka.
