The Route To Eternal Bliss

Now that the theory of “Divine Path to Eternal Bliss” and “Divine Remedies” has been identified we need to commence our journey in this path ensuring that we don’t miss the way. So it is necessary to give the guidelines for this journey so that the journey is pleasant, fast and definitely on track. Therefore we shall now lay down in detail the route of this divine path.

In this exercise our objective is to use the science of Vedas for our practical well being. By knowing something it is not going to immediately result in any benefit- though it is a fact that without knowing we will be worse off. Therefore to be benefitted, such knowledge has to be applied in action. For example- just by knowing an electric bulb will give light and remove darkness- it is not going to give light without actually having an electricity connection and a bulb. Similarly to get benefitted out of his Vedic wisdom we have to put it into practice.

Further knowing is different from understanding; understanding is different from realizing; realizing is different from practicing. Unless it is practiced no science will benefit us. Vedic science is no exception. Hence here we are listing out the steps to put into practice the glorious science of Vedic wisdom.

The Steps in the Path of ‘ Eternal Bliss and Divine Remedies

First understand the ‘Path of Eternal Bliss’ in its full and get clarified if there are any lingering doubts. Unless you are clear and convinced, you may develop doubts and swerve along the way.

Realize by heart that this worldly experience is real and meant only for joy.

Understand that every one of us have come here for a purpose and it is our duty to figure it out and achieve that.

The cosmos is so arranged that everything is linked to everything and any action has a consequence elsewhere-whether nearby or far off, whether we come to know or not- because it can be beyond our wildest dreams as well.

Understand whatever you do, including the ones that you do within a closed door, there are eight witnesses. They are the ‘panchabuthas’, sun, moon and Yama.

That is why the character of a person is defined as ‘what he does when nobody sees’.

In fact even whatever you ‘think’ (i.e.,not only what to speak or do) is recorded in the unique chip of yours -your soul- and therefore you should not commit any wrong just because you don’t find any physical witness. That is why the sankalp not to commit papas through ‘mano- vak-kaya’ –mind- speech-body.

The mind is the critical factor in the scheme of cosmic things because it leads to the speech and action. Therefore the effort must be to start at the level of mind to resolve to not violate the cosmic law’.

Then you can enjoy all the pleasures permitted without giving up anything.

In fact the more you enjoy your legitimate pleasures, the more inputs you will give to the God, which makes him happier because that helps him in his objective of achieving the grand evolution of the super mind.

You should ensure that you don’t bear any ill will to anyone.

You should ensure that you fulfill all your duties- the duties under the cosmic law

By just fulfilling of the duties as per man’s law you can’t avoid complying with the cosmic rules.By all means comply with human laws and earn well.

Earning is not a sin. But you must earn by genuine methods. Avoid any sinful income. Use the money so earned for fulfilling your duties under cosmic law.

When you do something don’t look at it from your personal angle but look at it from the cosmic angle. For e.g., if you desire a good job you can view it as your personal need to fulfill your personal requirements.

In this case you miss out what it means to the cosmos and hence you strive to get the job only with your limited strength.

But the same need of yours’ has a cosmic angle also, which is, you have come to this world for a purpose and to fulfill that purpose you need resources and for that you have to earn.Therefore in reality you are looking for a solution for discharging your cosmic responsibilities i.e., your duties to other beings, your parents, your progenitors, your progenies and the cosmic powers. If you look at the issue this way then the whole complexion changes. All those people and forces who will all be benefitted by you, will join the efforts to fulfill your need of getting a job.

The nature always conspires to fulfill the desires of cosmically responsible citizens provided the commitment to the cosmic cause genuine.

Do not try to grab anything that is not yours.

Actually you have many things meant for you unattended and unused but we hanker after other’s share mainly because our vanity tells that the other side of the fence is green.

Don’t fail in preventing something wrong being done when you are around or in condemning something wrong done when you are not around; by any one, however mighty they may be, because then you may be shirking your responsibility of quelling the evil.

Don’t ever exploit any situation to your advantage even if you can get away Scot free and if such a situation arises be cautious not to fall prey because ‘exploitation results only in cosmic revenge’

Do help every being by whichever way you can and earn their blessings which will come in good stead in your most difficult times- as they say ‘noble deeds will always save your head’

Don’t hanker after anything. We wrongly think that if we don’t persist on a thing we won’t get it. Actually it is the other way round. If you are after it, you will chase it like mad and yet you may not get at it. If you leave it, if it is yours it will chase you.

Do not ever desire for what is patently not yours because that will be the starting point of your fall – If any doubt arises remember Ravana and Duryodhana.

Mistakes can happen and do happen. Nothing wrong. But don’t ‘commit a mistake’.There is a big difference between a mistake happening and committing a mistake.Sin occurs only if the mind is instrumental in conceiving it and committing it. But if a mistake happens for no willful intention of yours it is not a sin as yet.

But if a mistake has happened, immediately you should own it up and embark on the remedial measures. If you fail to do so then the sin of committing that mistake as well as not owning it up, both will fall on you.

Once you own it up the atonement process should start to alleviate the sufferings of the affected person.

As the famous saying goes ‘a person who has eaten salt has to drink water; similarly a person who has done something wrong has to accept it; if he accepts he will atone and if he atones he will escape the reprisal.’

Don’t try to take umbrage under man made or religion made laws.

Always remember that the cosmic law is not religion oriented or region oriented - it is universal and hence religious laws or regional laws can’t override cosmic laws.

Never ever hurt any being or its feelings. Everything in the cosmos has life, desires, mind and soul and therefore don’t think that you can ride roughshod over anything.
