50(+) Questions And Answers

MOKSHA

29) What should be the ultimate goal in life for every person?

Obtaining Moksha should be the ultimate goal in life for every person in order to escape the cycle of births and deaths.

30) What is Moksha?

Moksha is a state of merging the Jivatma of a person with the Paramatma. This means, the Jivatma will not have to go through the birth cycles in the future.

31) What are the available Moksha Paths?

There are 3 Moksha Paths identified in the Bhagavad Gita. These are:

1) Karma Yoga – The Path of Work – Practical;

2) Jnyana Yoga – The Path of Knowledge – Theoritical;

3) *Bhakti Yoga – The Path of Devotion – Emotional.

*Most suitable for this Kali Yuga.

32) After our persistant actions of living our life performing our Nitya Karmas,

Naimittika Karmas, lived according to the Sanatana Dharma, chanted Veda Mantras, Practiced total detachments according to the Bhagavad Gita - can we expect to get Moksha after this life? Even after living our life as described above, there is no guarantee that we will obtain Moksha after this life, because, if we do not have the grace of Paramatma, we cannot get Moksha.

33) What God expects from us to give us the Moksha?

God wants us to be true and honest inside and outside, learn and live life in accordance with our Sanatana Dharma, develop Bhakti, Jnyana and Vyragya towards Him until the end of our life. After having lived a life in this manner, if we have His grace, then He will give us the Moksha.

34) What is the easiest way to obtain the Moksha?

The easiest way to obtain the Moksha is - if we are true and honest inside and outside and practice total Bhakti towards Him at all times, we may obtain His grace and the Moksha.

35) Can a person ever know he will get Moksha for sure?

No. We have to do our Karmas faithfully and hope to obtain His grace.

36) Can we request Moksha from God?

Some people would answer No to this question. My answer is Yes, nothing wrong in requesting Moksha from God. If you qualify, He will give you Moksha; if you do not qualify, He will give you rebirth.

37) What is our task after obtaining Moksha?

Our task after obtaining Moksha is to serve God.

38) Does God already know how many births are still left to give Moksha for each of His creations? Or, the remaining number of births depends upon the performance during each lifetime? Comments?

The remaining number of births left to get our Moksha depends upon the performance during each lifetime. In other words, we decide our fate based on our performance in each life, similar to our employment at our Workplace. If we serve well, we get job promotion. If we fail to serve well, we get fired (lose our job). God will send us back to earth to enter a new body. Note - we means our Jivatma. From this it also implies, we does not refer to our body.

39) When we achieve Bhakti, Jnyana and Vyragya can we guarantee ourself to obtain God’s grace to obtain Moksha?

No, that is God’s decision. We cannot guarantee ourself to obtain God’s grace. Bhakti, Jnyana and Vyragya should not be selfish based Karmas in order to obtain Moksha. They should all be selfless Karmas based on genuine love for God. We should love God, because, everything that we enjoy everyday in our life is provided to us by God – the house, the family, the job, the money and the material things – yes, everything is provided to us by God. In return, can we not genuinely love God and thank Him for everything He has provided to us?

40) How can we become deserving of God’s grace to get Moksha considering the undeniable fact that we have committed unlimited amount of sins in the past?

Here we have to analyze the greatness of God. Let us look at it this way – in order to obtain this human birth, we have gone through rebirths for 84 lakhs times. He erases your previous birth experiences from your memory after each life time, forgives you completely, and gives you a new birth with new opportunity. What do we do with this new opportunity – we make mistakes again by committing unlimited amount of sins. Therefore, you should forget the past of your current birth from your mind (this one you remember fortunately), become a clean person inside and outside (this means clean up your mental thinking and act good), and live your life genuinely to deserve God’s grace that might qualify you for Moksha.
