You will have felt there is some amount of repetition in the Sama Veda Samhita although effort was made to limit the repetition. To get a true flavor of the Sama Veda Samhita, you will have to read the text in the Original Sanskrit.
SAMA VEDA MANTRA BRAHMANA
Aupasana:
The followers of the Sama Veda Recite Mantras during the daily Morning propitiation of the Fire God. Penance, Luster (Shine), Faith, sense of shame at doing wrong, absence of anger, Liberality (Kindness), Fortitude (Strength), Righteousness, Speech, all these I seek - please protect me.
Daily Noon-time Sandhya Worship:
The followers of the Sama Veda recite Mantras during the Morning propitiation of the Surya. After the Gayatri Mantra Japa (Meditation) are over, the worshipper looks at the Surya and recite Mantras – May I be like the Surya in seeing; like fire in brilliance, like Wind in Power, like soma in fragrance, like Brihaspati in intellect, like the Asvins in beauty, like Indra-Agni in Strength.
The followers of the Sama Veda recite Mantras during the daily Morning and Evening Sandhya Worship. After the Gayatri Mantra Japa (Meditation) are over, the worshipper recite Mantras – May I attain Fame, may I attain Fame of the Truth, may I attain the Fame of the Glorious Acts. O Surya! Obeisance (Worshipful Respect) to You! May I rise along with you (Morning); May I also become firmly established (Evening).
SAMA VEDA UPANISHADS (Jnyana Kanda)
