Body and Mind Upkeep

The Vedic wisdom has prescribed pranayama, surya namaskara, yoga, etc., for body upkeep and Dhyana, dharana and mantra for mind upkeep. The modern science has come to know of these things only of late.

Profession and Social order

Vedas have advised compulsory economic independence for everyone by choosing a right profession of their choice. It has clearly stated and established the system that all professions are equally important and no profession is superior or inferior. That is why a begging Brahmin was seated equivalent to the king; and the service men – the labour – enjoyed all the dignity in society. Every village had a professional – a poojari, village guard , hair cutter, goldsmith, purohit, carpenter, potter, ganith, body flamer etc., All lived with equal respect and there was mutual respect and harmony.

Money or wealth did not come into the picture at all. But today in the name of modernism we have only created divisions and dissensions, with superiority and inferiority complexes with money as the only barometer. As a result the social harmony quotient has steeply dropped and the gap of difference between the haves and have-nots has reached menacing proportions. All these in the name of modernity-God save the situation.

Music

Vedas have talked about music as the soul raiser – keeping in sync the body, senses, mind, bodily energy nodes and the cosmic energy nodes resulting in elevation of body , mind and soul. The modern music have no clues to these aspects – it is all sound, sound and sound.

Environment

Vedic wisdom realized the importance of the environment because if it is damaged our existence itself will be threatened. So they codified a set of procedures like caring for plants, trees, herbs, water bodies. They also prescribed some fire rituals which will enhance the quality of the quantum and magnetic field. They made it compulsory for setting up, cultivating and maintaining trees like Peepal – the oxygen infuser; and Neem – the carbon tank and Tulsi plant - an ozone creator. Modern science first pollutes and then debates academically the solutions.

Astronomy

The contribution of Rishis to the science of Astronomy is unbelievable. With no external apparatus how they were able to exactly calculate the distance, velocity, rotation, revolution, relative motions etc., is just beyond imagination. And if you realize that with all the modern equipments what the science is saying is exactly the same as is in Vedas, it makes us only awestruck. What they have projected 6000 years ago is still to the last second is right, is very astounding and amazing.

The science suddenly added a few planets – Pluto, Neptune etc., and they thought that the Vedic knowledge was partial. But they were just uninformed, as always they are; as the Vedas did consider these planets and in fact many more planets , but left them out of reckoning because they are outside the orbit of our Sun’s light. Rishis clearly understood the medium of the vibratory field is only the Sun light. Now the scientists are left with no choice but to accept and admire.

Vedas declared millenniums ago that the universe traverses in an elliptical path; including our earth, our galaxy and each of the planet in it; it said Sun is the centre and earth rotates around it and not the other way; it said that earth is a globe-oval – and not flat. For a long time Veda’s opinion on this were not accepted but now the science says the same – and says it more vehemently.

We can go on listing the vedic revelations on Astronomy which the science is confirming only now.

Astrology

This is another boldest venture by Vedas. They clearly understood the concept of mulaprakriti; hologramic constitution; the concept of what is in macrocosm is in microcosm and therefore they were clear that by knowing one unit , thoroughly of course, you can know everything. So they figured out what will be the highest of the lowest common denominator so that if they know that in entirety they can know and predict everything else.

Obviously the answer is the stellar objects – because they are high above; ; it impacts the whole universe and every being in it; the rishis have been able to successfully project it’s trajectory.

So they realized if they can correctly assess its impact on human beings they will be able to predict. So they ventured into that field and went into unfathomable depths, climbed dizzy heights and came out with a precise science. You may believe or not-that doesn’t matter. What the stars foretell is true. Whether you want to use it and take care of or not is your wish.

No other civilization gone in to such complete width and depth of the stellar influences and visualized all the operating principles with which prediction, prevention and remedying all are made possible. No other society has considered so much in depth the permutations and combinations of the stars and planets without which analysis and prediction cannot so be accurate and precise.

Therefore a serious, devoted and well read astrologer using this grand science can predict, remedy and guide with great accuracy and precision.

Mathematics

The rishis understood that mathematics is a science of symbols for measuring the objects and the objects can be as small as an ‘anu’ – atom or as big as the ‘akasha’ – space. So they knew that the quantum to be measured is far too high and therefore if they have to be remembered it should be with minimum of symbols with inbuilt simple logics so that measuring the lowest of the low and the highest of the high is possible without any difficulty.

So they assigned place values (which on one side will be in a position to measure mega values by the principle of multiplication of place value in units of 10 ie., 10,1oo,1000 etc., and on the other side measure any small values sub zero called decimals by division using the same place values in units of 10) and restricted the primary numbers to 9 symbols 1-9 and zero for place value . Therefore totally with ten numbers measurement of any value was made possible.

Compare it with the roman numbers – far too many, complicated, and not divisible or multipliable. As in every science here also their supremacy of knowledge is simply outstanding which is because they have gone to the root.

Minerals and Metals

Since the rishis had a clear understanding of the creation, the created and the creator they were able to easily grasp the reality of every object. They had the guts to declare that, there is nothing in this world which does not have sense, memory, intelligence, feelings and conscience; only the degree of manifestation is different. They said nothing is inert. So every mineral and metal spoke to them their true self. So they were able to clearly articulate their qualities, characters, vibratory powers etc., and hence they could decide what to use, when and for what .Only because of this knowledge they were able to identify the power generators, power conductors and power retainers which enabled them to scientifically establish the science of yantras and idols.

The standing, literally standing witness, for their knowledge on metallurgy is the ‘iron post’ – sthoopi- in Delhi which according to carbon parameters is at least 10000 years old – showing no trace of rusting – oxidization-which is possible, as per today’s modern science, only if it is power coated in space. Their knowledge of minerals and metals enabled them to make striding advances in sculpturing, architecture, construction etc., as we will see below.

Sculpturing

This is another science where they perfected the creative excellence. Sculpturing is the science of integrated geometry, mathematics, painting, imagery, visualization, articulation, metallurgy and above all deep meditation. Imagine in those days with very limited equipments at their disposal the wonders they have created in temples, caves, hills, rocks and where not. Today with all possible equipments we are not able to create anything that can be even compared to be its class and all that we can do is to just keep wondering.
